Keith Wong is a Hong Kong–born jazz vocalist and composer whose work bridges jazz, choral music, and music theatre. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, the Netherlands, in 2022, and is among the few vocalists from Hong Kong to have received formal training in jazz vocals. His practice is shaped by a cross-cultural background and a strong foundation in interdisciplinary collaboration.

Wong is recognized for his original compositional voice and lyric writing. He received the Best Original Music of the Year award at the Beehive Music Award 2022 (A Cappella China). In 2023, his work was supported by both the Sena Performers Music Production Fund (The Netherlands) and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, enabling the creation of his debut album, Intertwined. The album, fully written and composed by Wong, explores contemporary jazz language through choral textures and theatrical narrative, reflecting his interest in music as storytelling.

As a performer, Wong emphasizes emotional communication and improvisation, expanding jazz vocal expression beyond traditional swing idioms. He has presented his work at venues and festivals in the Netherlands including Musicon (The Hague), JAZZFEST @ De Boemel (Tilburg), Podium Jong Professionals Jazz (Voorschoten), and UIT Festival Den Haag, as well as at Lau Bak Freespace Livehouse in Hong Kong. His work has also been featured on RTHK Television’s The Works.

From 2012 to 2018, Wong served as a resident artist with the Hong Kong a cappella theatre company Yat Po Singers, performing in multiple original music theatre productions, such as Our Immortal Cantata, Save The Next Song For Me, and Rock Hard. He continues to collaborate with the company as a composer and arranger, contributing to both stage works and community-based programs, including JCYP Happy A-ge-cappella. His broader collaborations include the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Dance Company, Edward Lam Dance Theatre, and ARCHITANZ Studio in Tokyo.

Wong’s artistic practice is driven by a commitment to cross-disciplinary creation and intercultural dialogue, seeking to expand the expressive possibilities of the jazz voice while engaging diverse audiences across geographic and artistic boundaries.
